For some reason people in Palo Alto love this place - I'm just not that impressed. It's an average cafe - drinks are good, food is good, but it's always crowded and there have been several times that I've not been able to find a seat. It can get pretty noisy too - so if you're trying to study or read, this is not the place.

I love their lattes and salads. I just wish it wasn't such a struggle just to get a seat during the week.
Great for people watching

I always make a point of stopping by Coupa whenever I'm in the Bay Area during the winter months. There's nothing quite like the Spicy Hot Chocolate. This luxuriously rich and frothy beverage imported straight from Venezuela gives me a heady buzz like no pot of Joe could ever hope to accomplish.
I usually have to perform a little gymnastics as I make my way to an unoccupied seat with my fresh cup of cocoa. Good food makes itself known, and this place is swarming with college students working on various papers or middle-aged beverage connoisseurs burying themselves in the latest novel. However, it's all worth it when I finally get to sink into my seat, admire the froth artistically teased into various shapes or words, and then lose myself in Chocolate Nirvana.
MmM ~ I love winter!

they say the ambiance is too girly. i don't care. i think it's cute. maybe there is a little girl inside my heart that longs for a cute ambiance. well, coupa cafe met my needs.
Venezuelan coffee and arapas are hard to find in san jose and with amazing tiramisu, spiced hot chocolate and free wi-fi, it's a great place to be. It's like when you were young, as a guy, you play with cars and manly toys like power rangers(?). Then you see your friend with her kitchen set with a nice tea table....and you want to play with her and her tea sets, but you know you can't because it damages your manhood(i guess boyhood at that time). You make fun of your guy friends that plays with the kitchen set but you know you want to be part of it so badly.
Every guy wants to hangout in a cute girly cafe.

Love this place all around!
We come here multiple times a month for brunch.
The chai tea latte is the best I've ever had!
Crepes and omelettes, you cannot go wrong with!
Can get a little crowded, but they do take reservations.
