I like the cozy atmosphere, the pizza is pretty good and the staff is friendly, just nothing fantastic. I've had much better and with less of a wait. I do appreciate the fresh ingredients and creativity, but....eh.

Eh.
Maybe my pallet isn't refined enough for this fancy pizza stuff. Frankly, I didn't think there was anything extraordinarily exceptional about it. Happy our isn't bad, but after trying virtually every pizza on the menu (with a friend of course) it's hard to say that there was something that stood out about any one of the pizzas. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it's not really my style of pie, seriously. Sorry, I had to. I appreciate how fresh-made everything was, and how good all the ingredients are, but, a little over the top for me, price-wise too.

Really delicious pizza and really friendly staff, but really uncomfortable setup!
Three businesses share this former Napa Auto Parts store. Downstairs is the tiny, but cute Dahlia Workshop biscuit/prosciutto bar, and the Soul Wine shop and tasting room. Serious Pie is upstairs in a loft section, and is laid out with its communal picnic style tables.
My main beef is that the design and layout of the restaurant is bothersome. It was super cramped.
I find shared tables to be difficult anyway, but when they are all crammed together it's even worse. Shared tables are best when you're with a big family or group of friends, but I was here with just my husband. We were lucky enough to get an end seat, but since we were seated opposite each other across a table that's one plank too wide, I couldn't really hear anything he said throughout the entire meal. I could, however, hear the entire conversation of the girls next to us. I learned a lot about their east coast college days and that they think people in Seattle are too obsessed with their dogs. If I were more social than I really am I'd tell them that I think that's actually a West Coast thing, not just Seattle, but again, I wasn't here to make new friends, I was just here for pizza with my fella.
When the servers came through with plates they would bend over to serve the table next to us and their backs were right in our faces. I felt like I could have gotten a bite of their apron strings by mistake.
Making me even more uncomfortable was the directional halogen 2 feet above my head. Because this is a loft space, the ceiling is low. My husband was in the dark, but I had this super sharp God Light pointed right at my face. I had to squint to see, and I wondered if I was supposed to sing or something.
When we were done and walked downstairs I peeked into the Soul Wine shop, and was so jealous of their square footage. They have 10 feet aisles between their crates of wine... I felt like I had just had dinner at one of those chicken farms where there's 4 hens to a cage and they can't even turn around, yet the people down in the wine shop were free range, just pecking and scratching around with joy.
I always give new businesses a second chance to win me, so I'll be back. Hopefully they can tweak it some to make it more relaxed.

So just went to this location for the first time, I have been to the other location once before. The first thing that you notice is that the setup is pretty cool. within the open air building is the restaurant, a wine shop, a coffee cafe, and the Dhalia Bakery. We sat in the back of the balcony that over looked the bakery. It is was really cool, even just watching someone sweep the floor back there, can only imagine sitting up there while the bakers are in and watching them go to work.
Pretty solid pizza. It is nothing amazing, but it is very good. We got the clam pizza, the sausage pizza and the chantrelle pizza. The clam pizza was very good but a little salty. The Italian sausage that they use their is incredible. Without a doubt the best Italian sausage I have ever had on a pizza. And their quality of chantrelles was great, and spreading truffle oil on top is like heaven to any mushroom lover.
The wait staff was also very knowledgeable and a full wine carafe is more than a enough for 4 people.
I do have some knocks on this place though. All the ingredients seemed to be top notch but the product was not. The pizza was good, but when you take a step back and look at what is going into this pizza you would think that it would be so much better. Not sure if we were the odd ones out, but the pie was not seriously put together.

I went here for a friend's birthday. There were 7 of us and we understood when they told us it would be a 1.5 hour wait. However, we missed our first table because one of the party was 5 minutes away from the restaurant. We ended up waiting over 2 hours for a table instead. This kind of seating policy is annoying at best.
My wife and I shared a baby greens salad and the Buffalo Mozzarella pizza. The salad was good, with large chunks of radish and healthy fresh lettuces. The pizza sucked though. It was REALLY oily, had strange char on TOP, was kind of cold, and featured pieces that didn't even have cheese on them. For $16 I would expect a little more care to go into making sure there is at least some cheese on every piece.
I agree with others though that the staff is friendly and professional.

If you love truffle, you will love the yellow chanterelles + truffle cheese pizza! It is mine and S's favorite. Very savory, great balance, and a plentiful amount of chanterelles! We also tried the buffalo mozarella + tomato sauce pizza, but it wasn't very good--skimped on the cheese and the tomatoes were too tart. We also had dessert, which was cannolis with some type of fruity sauce on the bottom and candied fennel. The canolis were yummy--not too sweet and the pastry was nice and light. The service was awesome as well--we had a really nice, genuine waitress. Lastly, I really like the environment. The simplicity of it all is quite nice and not one bit pretentious as I expect TD joints to be. Overall, I had a great experience at Serious Pie and am curious to go for lunch when it is busier (we went late on a Saturday night so didn't have any neighbors to rub elbows with). Btw, be prepared to shell out some cash--it is NOT cheap--$16/personal-sized pizza.
Has anyone tried the one with potatoes??? It looks good... !

Don't know why others are giving this place anything less than FIVE stars!!! This place is freaking awesome... It tastes exactly like the original Serious Pie but is a bit bigger.. Tried happy hour recently and it is an amazing deal.. Me and my GF ended up getting 4 mini pizzas and they were all Fantastic..
The service was super friendly as well and if you get their early enough you can watch the bakery down below from Dahlia Lounge.
